I'm an academic, researcher, and adviser who focuses on topics at the intersection of artificial intelligence, leadership, and organisational change. Over the past decade, my research has focused on firm-state relations and how organisations and their leaders navigate complex institutional transitions and uncertainty.
The same approach shapes my work on AI. The challenge facing most senior leaders is not technical; it is human and organisational. How do you lead a workforce through a transformation that most people (including the leaders themselves) do not yet fully understand? How do you govern AI adoption responsibly while maintaining competitive momentum? How do you make sure technology creates value and brings a return on investment?
I am interested in how the current technological changes affect human and organisational dynamics and how leaders can drive this process.
My advisory work is grounded in peer-reviewed research, tested through executive education with senior leaders across industries, and shaped by practical experience. I help leaders build the judgement, governance structures, and organisational capabilities needed to make transformation work.
I am an Associate Professor (Education) of Management at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), where I serve as the AI and Education Innovation Lead and Chair of the AI Policy Working Group. I am a senior fellow of the Higher Education Academy, a board member of LSE Press, and an affiliate faculty member at LSE's Data Science Institute.
Before my academic career, I founded and ran an EU consulting firm, advising on EU policy and institutional affairs. This experience continues to inform my advisory work with public- and private-sector organisations, including the European Commission.
